Armenia–Pakistan relations : ウィキペディア英語版 | Armenia–Pakistan relations
Armenia–Pakistan relations refers to international and bilateral relations between Armenia and Pakistan. Due to Pakistan's close ties with Turkey and Azerbaijan, relations with Armenia are poor. Pakistan is the only country that does not recognize Armenia.〔(Pakistan Worldview - Report 21 - Visit to Azerbaijan ) Senate of Pakistan - Senate foreign relations committee, 2008〕〔(Nilufer Bakhtiyar: "For Azerbaijan Pakistan does not recognize Armenia as a country" ) 13 September 2006 () - Today.Az〕〔(Pakistan not to restore ties with Armenia unless it withdraws from Karabakh )〕 The main issue is the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The Nagorno-Karabakh region is mainly populated with ethnic Armenians, but is recognised by all nations (except Abkhazia, South Ossetia, and Transnistria, which too lack the recognition of most nations) as being ''de jure'' inside the borders of Azerbaijan. Pakistan had supported Azerbaijan during and after the Nagorno-Karabakh War. Because of its close relations with Armenia's adversaries (Turkey and Azerbaijan), Pakistan has been reluctant to recognize the Armenian Genocide and maintains that during the war a large number of Armenians and Muslims were also killed. Being the second country after Turkey to recognize Azerbaijan, Pakistan has close relations with Azerbaijan. == See also ==
